Now there’s a revolutionary titanium alloy that combines strength comparable to Ti-6Al-4V (6-4 titanium) with high workability, superior ductility and availability as continuous cold-rolled sheet, thus providing tighter gauge tolerances and more consistent surface finish. Stronger than CP grades and more formable than 6-4 titanium, ATI 425® Alloy hits the sweet spot in strength, finish and workability for a broad range of applications – and will change the way you think about designing with titanium.
With its production process now certified to the AMS 6946 standard, and with development of MMPDS design allowables for commercial aerospace design, this revolutionary material is ready to deliver a whole new performance profile for aerospace, defense and industrial applications.
ATI 425® Alloy AMS specifications are available for titanium bars, wire, forgings, rings, and drawn shapes in annealed (AMS6948) and annealed, heat treatable (AMS6947) conditions.
