Armor Material - Steel Armor Plate
|
|
Allegheny Ludlum K12® Dual-Hardness Armor Plate material has an extensive history of successful use in armored cars and similar equipment. ATI 500-MIL™ steel is a wrought, air-hardenable Ni-Cr-Mo material that is similar in hardness and ballistic properties to a 500BHN “High-Hard” armor steel. The balanced composition of the alloy leads to very high toughness relative to other “high-hard” alloys while maintaining excellent ballistic resistance.
